Last updated: [TBC: date]
These terms apply to all appointments with Rachael Allen BSc (Hons), trading as Rachael Allen Podiatry, whether booked online, by phone or by email, and whether they take place at one of my clinics or in your home. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), registration number CH036387.
By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, please get in touch before booking.
Booking an appointment
You can book online, by phone or by email. Your appointment is confirmed once you receive a confirmation by email or text.
Please give accurate contact details and tell me about any medical conditions, medication or allergies that may affect your treatment. I may need to ask further questions at your first appointment.
Deposits
A deposit of [TBC: amount] is taken when you book online. This deposit is deducted from the cost of your treatment on the day.
Your deposit is refunded in full if you cancel or rearrange with at least [TBC: notice period, for example 48 hours] notice. If you cancel with less notice, or do not attend, the deposit is kept to cover the appointment time that could not be offered to someone else.
Cancelling or rearranging
I understand that plans change. To cancel or rearrange, please give at least [TBC: notice period] notice by phone, by email, or using the link in your confirmation.
If you cannot attend because of a genuine emergency or illness, please contact me as soon as you can. I will always consider individual circumstances.
Missed appointments
If you do not attend and have not let me know, your deposit will be kept. Where no deposit was taken, I may charge [TBC: missed appointment fee].
If two or more appointments are missed, I may ask for full payment in advance before booking again.
Arriving late
Please arrive on time. If you are late, your appointment may need to be shortened so that other patients are not kept waiting, and the full fee will still apply. If you are more than [TBC: number of minutes] minutes late, I may treat the appointment as missed.
If I need to cancel
Occasionally I may need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, for example because of illness or an emergency. If this happens, I will contact you as soon as possible to offer another time, and any deposit you have paid will be refunded in full or carried over to the new appointment, whichever you prefer.
Home visits
For home visits, please make sure that:
- someone is home at the agreed time
- there is a comfortable chair, good lighting and safe access to the room
- pets are kept in another room during the appointment
- you let me know about any parking or access arrangements when booking
If I arrive and cannot get in, or cannot carry out the treatment safely, the appointment will be treated as missed.
Fees and payment
Current prices are available on request and will be confirmed when you book. Payment is due at the end of each appointment, less any deposit already paid. I accept [TBC: payment methods].
Children and patients who need support
Patients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be asked to give consent for assessment and treatment. Adults who need support are welcome to bring a carer or family member.
Treatment and results
At your first appointment I will assess your feet, discuss your options and agree a treatment plan with you. Every patient responds differently, so I cannot guarantee a particular result. Some conditions, such as verrucas, can need several sessions.
Please follow any aftercare advice I give you and let me know about any changes in your health before your next appointment.
Your information
How I collect, use and protect your personal information is explained in my privacy policy.
Concerns and complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of my service, please tell me first so I can try to put things right. You can contact me on 07865 790 448 or at email@rachaelallen.uk. If we cannot resolve your concern, you can contact the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page when you book is the one that applies to your appointment.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
